The columbine in my various gardens have been showing signs of life for a couple of weeks now. I’m particularly impressed with the Kristall and Lime Sorbet varieties in the Japanese Moon Garden. Their plump little crowns must be at least an inch or across and considering that they were started from seed last year… I think that’s great! The leaves look strong and healthy so all is well on this columbine front, I think. Other varieties are alive and well too but not exhibiting such vigor. I just need to give them time, I suppose.
I think I’ll want more Kristall and Lime Sorbet for the Woodland Garden so it’s lucky I have them in pots for propagation. Must remember to collect seed this summer! Must remember!!!
