From the mother bed, I made transplants to the East wall a couple weeks ago. The slips, 18 inch lengths of vine, at first didn’t seem as if they would grow; but there are healthy leaves now, and I still may find some surprises in shoots that emerge further along the runner I planted, or at least I hope so.
