Well, I think the magnolia heard me thinking dark thoughts about it all winter long and made a stupendous effort to stay potential execution. It looks amazing this year with well over a dozen blooms. Last year it only provided one bloom and then moped around with rust fungus leaves all summer. It might also be that it liked the mild winter, but I prefer to think that it is telepathic …
I didn’t realize that the blooms are actually lightly fragrant – they smell like narcissus!

Does your Osmanthus set seed?…….. any to swap? I know it is a long term project, but I heavily into trees!!!! My magnolia is just 10cm high at the moment and needless to say no flowers in sight yet!!!!
