I decided that I was tired of growing all my vegatables out of containers so I asked my very local communuity garden yesterday if it had plots available and it did! There were 8 left so I picked two plots that are 10’ by 14’ side by side. I am so lucky to get these large plots side by side. There are now 6 plots left. Aslo, I learned that the volunteer work at the community garden is not only physical work. There are paper work that one can volunteer to do if they get bored with the physical work at common areas. Great! Since my dear hubby is retired now, he is willing to help me with the plots while I am at work. How great is that! What a guy!
He and I went in the rain to measure the plots so that we can start planting. I have several heirloom tomato seedlings that will be going into one plot in March.
For February I will be transplanting in the white and purple cauliflower, radichio and broccolini. Maybe the potatoes and garlic. Or maybe not.
I plan on starting new Braveheart large Romaine by seed tape that I made. It should do well.
