Old Man Winter

Sunday, 15 Jan 12 Snow -2°C / 28°F

Well after hearing this would be the coldest winter in years I was expecting the worst. So far, today was the first day of snow. Just about an inch for us, while other areas around the region got more.

It was a good thing I raked up most of the leaves in the garden over the last 2 days, although most of the snow was gone by the afternoon. Some Peach leaved Bell Flowers are blooming by the house, shoots are poking up and the Leopard’s Bane is completely crowding out some last falls new plants. Time to start thinning out and moving some plants for this year.
