Some of the chilli seedlings are looking a little “leggy”!
MrK has kindly rigged up a MaxiBright 125w Blue CFL and a SunMate CFL reflector in a spare wardrobe…“And all the lights are blinding” (as Oasis might say)!
The temp under the CFL is 27C (which is a little warmer than I’d imagined, I have to confess)
I’ve carefully pricked out some of the worst offenders, and put them into some small pots (usual compost/vericulite/perlite mix), burying the stem slightly. The CFL is about 4" above the seedlings (which is apparently optimal). I’ve left one of each seedling in the propagator (natural light), put one each on the window sill and one of each is now bathed in an artificial glow
Now I just have to hope that I don’t cook them, or that the leccy bill is too extortionate!
