plum thicket

Tuesday, 10 Jan 12 Rainy 13°C / 56°F

I’ve been reading Michael Phillips’s Holistic Orchard. He recommends planting plums about 3 feet apart in thickets because they are light pollinators. I’ve ordered 2 additional plums to go with the AU Roadside in our yard. Maybe next year I’ll add 2 on Ruth/Sheila’s side.

from driveway toward Millie’s (north to south):

1. AU Ruby Queen (UGA)
2. AU Roadside
3. AU Producer
