My medlar harvest doubled this year! All the way from two to a mighty four fruit! That still puts it a little way off paying back for itself in terms of fruit but it is still a relatively young tree. Anyway, how do you quantify the value of a tree? Fruit production is part of it but so is beauty and this tree, still covered with its long leaves but all turned a rich yellow now and preparing to drop, is certainly scoring on that front.
