Fall is almost like a second spring in my garden! The heat and humidity in the summer is so brutal that plants get worn down by August. When temperatures cool in the fall, many plants bounce back beautifully. I’m not so wild about South Carolina’s summers, but I LOVE fall down here!

I found the Georgia savory at a family-owned small nursery on Johns Island. I wasn’t familiar with it, and was excited that it was a native when I looked it up. The flowers are lovely, and I’m hoping that the leaves will remain all winter long.
