finally planted out all those things I meant to plant out in the spring. Luckily, we’ve had a wet fall, so I imagine they will do well.
Everything here was actually planted out, except for the rose which I dug up and moved. The roots were not how I expected. One really long tap root (which broke, as I was not expecting it) and very few roots around the surface, though the soil was very loose. I’m not sure that it will survive, and looked a little crispy the next day, but honestly, it was a freebie that I was never terribly fond of. If it grows, it grows.
