And now that Staind song is stuck in my head…
Anyway, I haven’t been around for the last two months, which were technically productive months in the garden, but maybe not so much for me. It’s been a long summer with a great deal of stress and even my garden has been cold comfort at best. I am however feeling a bit cleansed with the early arrival of autumn here. Conkers are on the ground, plums red green gold and blue have come and gone, apples are coming in and soon I’ll have to put some things to bed. For now I note my biggest accomplishments over the last few months:
Got a Cypripedium kentuckiense at Tatton Park Garden Show. It is my pride and joy.
The lemon tree is trying to recover, genuinely.
Many, many tomatoes have been harvested, and even some chilis are really making a go of it.
“black” hyacinths planted.
I’ll try to work on being more active here soon.
