We have a blueberry bush in the garden for over 10 years, and this summer was the first year there was something you could call ‘a harvest’ (of about a handfull of berries).
It is always so nice to see something tiny up close!

Thanks :) travin- god I know! It’s driving me slightly insane lol.
AnneTanne- that sucks! I got about a punnet off the smaller sister of this plant last year – this is the one that was sacrificed then… it is definitely worth doing. Check earlier journals of the berries and you’ll see. :) Did you sacrifice alllll the berries for the first year or three?
Can you believe that I took these photos with my camera phone?! Love my N8 even if the touch screen does give me the massive shhherbets. Inspired to take my Nikon out tonight :)

Congratulations!
I also sacrificed all the fruit for the first three years. Even with ample watering, the hot dry winds meant the poor plants looked less than spectacular. Lost two of four, but the last two look great this year.
Is that really the variety, Nelly Kelly Blueberry?

Well that’s what the grower calls it. It’s real name is Sunshine Blue. :)
They look amazing now! The bigger one has so many flowers. I’ll have to add more photos. First 2 berries eaten today. Scrrrummy!
