I had a very productive day today, despite the heat. Yeah, yeah, I know. 82 ain’t hot, right? Well here it is and I gots thick blood. Fortunately it’s cooled down a lot from the upper 80’s from the last few days.

Anywho, transplanted a bunch of stuff:

- Johnny Jump Ups – an ongoing project, considering the hundreds of seedlings. I’ve been transplanting them 5 to a 4" pot. It seems about right.

- Leptosiphon, Large – same issue except worse. And don’t think for a moment this will prevent me from over-seeding in the future. Also transplanted them 5 to a 4" pot.

- Lobelia ‘Crystal Palace’ – I finally moved some of these into a permanent location around the edge of the pots of Penstemon digitalis ‘Mystica’. When the Penstemon foliage turns nearly black it will be a nice contrast with the purple spilling over the edges against the terra cotta. These are at the entrance to the concert hall so it should pretty up the place a bit.

- Monkey Flower, White – finally found a place for this plant I’ve had sitting on the side awaiting its fate. With it just behind the Red Lily it should fill in the area nicely and allow for the Lily to come up again next year.

That IS very hot for SF! Here, it would be a cool and pleasant day. I will probably need a light sweater for the first few days in the 80’s!!

You can have it. That’s why I moved here and why I’ve only visited TX once.
