These arrived yesterday.
I’m a bit disapointed in some ways. it seems that the growers have been training the Dwarf Lemon to loop over itself to make a little ball. We’ve undone all the wire but the branches are still all pointing down to the ground. When I pot it up (hopefully today, but maybe Sunday – plants have this habit of arriving at the worst possible time) I will put in lots of little stakes (probably one per branch) to support them in an upright direction.
The olive tree is cool, but small. It will grow to fit its pot eventually. Will try to get a smaller pot that I can put inside the pot it will live in for both the lemon and olive cos they are way too small for their homes.
The kiwi will also have to go in a pot for now. The veggie garden isn’t nearly ready for plants to actually be planted in it, but I’m not patient enough to wait. A large pot and an obelisk await the kiwi.
I was going to pop down to Wisley yesterday to do some pot/plant shopping, but yesterday morning turned out to be such a disastrous time that I cancelled the afternoon.
