Wow, Wow and Wow.
I can not for the life of me ever contemplate not being in the garden.
We had a great day with our little chicken – Lizzie. She went where ever we went and helped turned over our soil. We spread sawdust between our veggie patches and even had time to replace her house with new shavings.
Our beds were full of produce ready for the harvest. Its great to see when we first planted the seeds to where we are now with harvesting. I think I counted 11 items in my basket. Celery, Parsley, carrots, red chard, yellow chard, silverbeet, spinach, swede, chilli, bay and broccoli. All went into a minestrone soup. Yum.
I wanted to plant some new seeds but the weather got the better of us. Maybe next weekend.
I cant wait to plant eggplant, capsicum, tomatoes and basil. I have the seed packets ready but just need the weather to warm up a little.
