So, do you remember when I said that this was an unusual garden year for me? I just had another first. I went outside without a planting diagram, ruler or grid and planted seeds! I didn’t think or read or research which seeds to grow. I didn’t order seeds from 6 different companies after spending hours creating my shopping list. I simply grabbed the the first 4 bean varieties I saw (ok, I did actually look for the Mr. Tungs :) , the only peas I could find and, just on a whim, a package of cucumbers. I didn’t even bother to turn the soil this year,GASP!!! I just dug a trench, threw in some seeds and dumped a bunch of vermicompost on top.
I’m happy … I have some seeds in the ground and even though the peas are sown too late and the cucumbers too early, I have faith that they will grow because that’s what seeds do!

This is how I do it too, and it amazes me each time that it actually works just fine! I do put markers though, its a must. Good luck :))
