I have a full on phobia of insects, even the most mundane. Gardening has helped me slowly learn to cope with many types more successfully, but I’m still not able to handle some encounters. Today I found green insect eggs on my miniature rose bush, and instead of dropping everything and running to Ian to make him deal with it I identified them (Palomina prasina) and destroyed them myself. That is a big deal for me.
