weee!! i’ve figured out what to do with the blank space in the back yard! i plan to build two raised beds on either side of the space. they will be 12 feet long and 4 feet wide. that will leave me about 8 to 10 feet between them. the land there is sloped so i plan to build the beds level: deep at the front, shallow at the back. between the beds at the front, i will build back-to-back L-shaped … nooks, for lack of a better word, with a sloped path between entering the garden area. the back, i will plant with potatoes, the raised beds with peppers and tomatoes and cukes and the two front sections with beets and carrots.
