Tiny Green Hope

Wednesday, 13 Apr 11 8°C / 46°F

The Tiny Tim tomatoes are just about 2" tall now. I planted them in pre-moistened potting soil, in a metal trough-like planter. There is a full spectrum bulb that gives them about 12 hours of direct light. They are rotated carefully, and watered at the soil, to avoid accidental spraying of the leaves.
From this planter, I plan on putting each of them in a yogurt cup to have lots of room to grow, and from there to their final planter. I don’t want to disturb them much, and up here it’s still too cold to put them out on anything but the warmest morning.

So they get TLC treatment, in the hopes that they’ll eventually give us lovely red fruits.
