I keep finding these bulbs an rhizomes in my compost and planting them out and about. None of them has ever done anything. But today I walked out my door and looked down and there was a daffodil all big and blooming. I’ve always wanted a daffodil. Maybe one day it will grow up into a clump of daffodils. Yay!

We transplanted a bunch of daffodils that had been growing in a wooded area on our property. You had to almost crawl through brambles and brush to get to them so we figured it would be nice to put them somewhere we could enjoy. They did not bloom at all the first year they were transplanted. This year most of them have buds. So maybe it just takes time for them to adjust to a new location.
