My father-in-law and I went up to the cabin, to see how it had fared over the winter, as well as to add to the composter (mine isn’t built at the house yet, and his was shut down a while back). I checked on the garlic, and some of it has sprouted!! I’m guessing the relatively warm and sunny weather we’ve had lately has woken it up. I noticed that one had somehow managed to get worked out of the ground a bit, to the point where some of its roots were showing! I suspect I’ll need to top-dress with some compost in the not-too-distant future.
