Blood Lillies Flowering

Thursday, 31 Mar 11 Sunny 25°C / 77°F

My Blood Lillies “peaked” their flowering cycle. It is the best I have ever seen them. Two leaves (1 each side of flower stem) have just emerged and I expect they will grow very rapidly. I think the good rains we had recently and the feed of Blood and bone as the leaves were dying back last year have helped them immensely. That is the only special treatment they have had.

A nice crop of soursobs and marshmellow weeds have sprung up around them, but they will soon get the “short shift” (they are also available for anyone who wants them)haha
