Although I've never been to a plant-related event like this (I'm so jealous that you have this opportunity!), I have promoted my knitting group at craft fairs. I've done it two ways -- by setting up a table "pulling" people in with signs or by handing out fliers and then talking to them directly, and also by just "pushing" business cards into the hands of everyone I saw. I honestly think the pushing method works best at these kind of events, because that way you don't have to waste your time waiting for people to talk to you, and you don't have to forgo participating yourself in order to promote the group. Our Seedy Saturday isn't till March, but I'm planning on going and will take some seed packages with folia swap labels. Check with your local library too, ours has an annual seed/plant swap which would be another great place to promote the site. One more thought ... the swap labels could easily be turned into seed package templates.
