<body>I just had my first noticed experience with this while giving &quot;this journal&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/70389-first-of-the-strictly-jazz-irises-out a thumbs up. I also noticed that they show up in the grapevine.

Edit: and &quot;this one&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/70413-basil-all-5-seeds-are-up-by-now one minute ago.</body>

<body>Ok, so today I went to graibeard's &quot;Incubator journal&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/70613 written today. The box said &quot;1 thumb's up, Add yours&quot; I thought YaY it's working again. So I clicked and it still says &quot;1 Thumbs up.&quot;</body>

<body>The thumbs isn't running in &quot;real time&quot; at the moment. I commented out the code that incremented the counts for performance reasons.

However we do have a task running each night that calculates all of the counts in one go (for comments, thumbs up, plantings, etc) so it does get counted, just at the end of the day for now.

We've got a few performance tweaks to add to the site and will look into bringing this in at the same time.</body>

<body>Hey Nath, I was just wondering if this also means that we will not be able to read comments from today until tomorrow? I ask because a while ago I had only one comment showing, but when I went to my comments, the last one was my own. Now there are six comments, and none of them show up either. So then I went to my journals to see if they show up there, and they do not. Just though I should give you a heads up in case this is a glitch that you didn't know about. :)</body>

<body>That shouldn't be the case as comments will still be added to the database and displayed against the journal in real time. The thing we cache is the comments count and thumbs up count which show next to each journal - these are the only things that are re-calculated at the end of the day and will be out of sync until then.

Can you let me know what journal this was happening to and I'll see if there is a glitch occurring.</body>

<body>That's just it. I don't know. It is on my home page that I am still getting the alerts when I get a comment, but I don't see any comments anywhere!! I even went back through some of my journals one at a time, but I don't see any comments that are new, or at all for some that never got comments. I am not sure what is going on, whether new comments are actually being made, or if it is just a glitch in the system telling me that there are? Hmm. Thought to ponder... :)</body>

<body>@nath- have you been able to figure this out? I still can't see comments that are made to me. Thanks for all of your efforts. :)

Edit: I just checked again, and I can see the ones that were sent to me today, but not the ones for yesterday.</body>
