I also noticed that they show up in the grapevine. I commented out the code that incremented the counts for performance reasons. However we do have a task running each night that calculates all of the counts in one go (for comments, thumbs up, plantings, etc) so it does get counted, just at the end of the day for now. I ask because a while ago I had only one comment showing, but when I went to my comments, the last one was my own. Now there are six comments, and none of them show up either. So then I went to my journals to see if they show up there, and they do not. The thing we cache is the comments count and thumbs up count which show next to each journal - these are the only things that are re-calculated at the end of the day and will be out of sync until then. I even went back through some of my journals one at a time, but I don't see any comments that are new, or at all for some that never got comments.
