<body>Hi Sue - Looks like the search index hasn't picked up your planting when it was added. The easiest way to get the planting into the index is to go to the edit planting page and resave.

Let me know if you are still having issues and I'll see if I can schedule a reindex to pick up the missing data :)</body>

<body>No, I can't make it work. I have gone in and resaved, changed the name and resaved, changed the classification and resaved and nothing has worked. No rush on the reindex, just rather odd, as it did pick it up to add to a journal entry in March.</body>

<body>Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you on this, the solution wasn't as straight forward as we would have liked.

The fix is bringing the Plantings and Gardens records over to the new search. We moved everything over to the new search, except for Plantings and Gardens, as it was faster and less resource hungry but we were having issues with keeping records &quot;instant&quot; - ie when you create a record it wouldn't instantly appear in the new search, which is vitally important for Gardens and Plantings. So these remained in the old search until we had time to properly fix the issue except now we have a new problem in that we can't rebuild the old searches index as it takes an age to rebuild itself, which is what we have to do to fix this issue you're having (which I'm sure is popping up for others too but less noticeable)

So I've bitten the bullet to consolidate the searches - which will be nice as we'll have the single search which means we can have a site wide search page and free up some server resources - and it's waaaay faster than the old search too :)

So expect this to be fixed and finished in the next few hours.</body>

<body>Wow, that's great!. It's not really a big problem as I wouldn't journal on that plant very often, and it is the only one I have had a problem so far. It does sound like it's a lot of work for you but it will be a good thing once it's done.
Thanks.</body>

<body>Ok, so I just checked it out, as I read in the other post that you had done the re-index. The search box is now able to find my planting no problem. But I can't make it stick when I select it. :(</body>

<body>Hey SneIrish - thanks for bearing with us on this one, we've found this one a bit tough to replicate but we think we might be making some progress.

When you say &quot;it doesn't stick&quot; do you mean that when you select the item from the list it doesn't populate into the textbox, or is it populating but not saving when you hit the save button? Any additional info you can give us will help us track this down, so if you can think of anything definitely post it here!

We'll keep you posted on how we are going with this one.</body>

<body>I start to type and it comes up in the search box, but when I highlight and select it, it doesn't then migrate to the list of plantings so you can select a milestone, add a photo, etc. I hope that is a clear explanation. I did not have the same problem with the other three plants that are included in this journal - those were added to the milestone list very smoothly.</body>

<body>Alrighty, I think I've pinpointed the issue, that particular planting was missing a planting type. I'm still tracking down why, but I've manually popped in the right type now so you should be able to select this planting in your journals once again. Thanks for being so patient whilst we sorted this one out :)</body>

<body>Woohoo! I think it might be that we are missing logic to add in the planting type for a very particular way of adding the planting...it's definitely our fault, not yours :)

I'm just in the process of checking through all the flows to see which one causes the issue (if you can remember by any chance if you did anything different when you added that one in, let me know!)</body>

<body>Sorry, I don't really remember. It was so many months ago, and I've added so many different plantings. I'm sure it was already in the data base at the time, so I didn't have to create a new plant classification.</body>
