<body>Do you mean for trade? If so, yes. I am planning on doing that. Maybe some squash, cauliflower, broccoli, pumpkin, tomato, and various varieties of peppers. I also will put some of my flowers up for trade, and herbs. I love to trade, and want to have as many things available for trade as I can so that the possibility of trade is greater!! :)</body>

<body>Tropicana - Ceae is talking specifically about Seeds of Diversity (it's the Canadian version of the Seed Savers Exchange in the US) and offering seeds through their yearly swap all done via the mail and a big ass book you get at the beginning of the calendar year.

Okay, I think I should be getting mine any day now. I might not get it today because I'm a little remote, but I can still hope!

I'm going to be offering most of the tomatoes grown this year (that's 32 varieties!), possibly a few herbs, and we'll see what else I've got by the deadline. I'd like to offer some squash, but my squash is having a REALLY tough go of it this year. I'm not sure how well any of them will actually be doing.</body>

<body>Tropicana, good luck with your seed saving!

Kelly ... it's so funny ... I was thinking, just the other day, about messaging you to see if you had recieved the magazine because I thought the forms were supposed to come out in the spring and was wondering if I had somehow missed it ... and then it showed up!

The forms are not due until Oct (15th, I think it was?) so that give us lots of time to get it together. What about you beans, um, Tungs? Did they end up germinating?

<body>I know, I thought it was supposed to come in May (you know, for spring) so I emailed them, and they told me that they JUST went out on Monday (I'm crossing my fingers that mine is here today). I think they might be a little behind this year, because I remember winter coming out a little late too. Maybe their membership is up? Which would be great :D.

Yes! My Mr. Tung's did germinate and are growing well now. Still a little small, but there should be plenty of time to get a crop. Not the best germination rate, only about 50%, but I used inoculant myself (maybe the person I got the seeds from didn't?), so germination should be better next year.

I'll definitely be offering those, although I might not have TONS to offer, so I'll be sure to save you some because you wanted them, right?</body>

<body>Thanks ceae. This will probably be my first year of success. I tried it once, and left the dead flowers on the dryer for a while, and then sealed them in ziploc bags. When I opened them, some of the seeds had molded. I will try it again, and see what happens. I found a web site where I can print out my own labeled seed packets for seeds, so I might try that. It would allow the seeds to breathe and dry out better...</body>

<body>I've been procrastinating about joining for 3 years now. I attempted to go to the local Seed Swap this spring, but I got lost trying to find it, lol

<body>It's my first year too ... Kelly MADE me join, lol! I love it and will absolutely join again next year.

I requested and received seeds from two different people and was very happy with the seeds and the nice notes from both growers.

Someone (Flora?) purchased one of their books and said it was great! They just published a new book called &quot;Every Seed Tells a Tale&quot;:http://www.seeds.ca/en.php?n=pub_Every_Seed that I think I'm going to have to buy!!!

<body>Haha, I'm such a bad influence ;). Yes, I'm definitely keeping up my membership as well.

I was looking at Every Seed Tells a Tale - I really want that one! I'd like to get their seed saving guide too. I'll probably get both when I renew.</body>

<body>I just saw this post. Yep, it was me that mentioned the seed saving book was a good one. I haven't seen my spring/summer magazine yet but it sounds interesting. I will have to see what survives this nasty heat the next few weeks to see what I might be able to donate next year.</body>
