We have some awesome changes, here’s what to look out for this week:

Plant Moving
Now you can move a plant from one garden to another! Quite handy if you start your seeds off in a propagator then move them to outside to your deck garden then bring them into you greenhouse for the winter (You lucky people with decks and greenhouses!). This ensures that all of the faves, journals and comments will follow the plant as it moves.

Questions
Nic had this cool idea to have questions integrated into the site, and then whipped it up in a matter of hours. You should notice up the top a new tab called Questions – so go there and help out those in need or if you need help yourself then go to you plant that’s in trouble and ask away! We’ll look at expanding this over then next few weeks but thought that plants was a good place to start!

Countries
This is by far my favourite feature! If you go to Australia you can now get a quick view on the new gardeners there and the popular plants of that country (Go Kangaroo Paw!)

Plus a whole bunch of other small changes (hey we gotta have a few surprises :)). Let us know what you think.

Fabulous updates guys! Just a few questions:

1. Is there page with the country listings where we can just click on the country we want to view?

2. How do we use this feature to move plants to another garden? I click “edit” on the plant, but I didn’t see the new feature there.

Talking of questions – under ‘my questions’ there is nothing – do I have to go to questions first – submit my question and then it appears under my questions? Also – found this page under latest activity but now looking at the sub head on this page while I am writing this, there is a forums – will there be a direct link from my home page to the forum area – sorry if this is already covered in any existing forums – I’m sort of having to work backwards throught the site to reach the forum!

Hi Kelly – We kinda have a country page on the people page where you can see the popular countries. I really can’t wait until we get a few more really northern countries ( like Sweden ) to see what they can grow! I can see these pages becoming very popular. As for the moving of plants – the link is located on the planting page you want to move (in the side panel underneath the garden details) but this will be refined in the coming releases.

Hi Trisha (welcome to the site!) – on your ‘my questions’ page we now have a “quick add feature” which will allow you to ask questions about your plantings. You will only see this if you’ve added plants to your gardens.
