We’ve just launched a brand new section on Folia to reward and encourage contributions to the Folia plant database:
From today, a leaderboard of the top 5 contributors so far this year (calculated daily) will now be displayed on the plant home page – these are the current contenders to the crown for database editors of 2012!
The top 5 contributors at the end of the year will win the following prizes:
1st prize: $250 USD Amazon Voucher
2nd Prize: $200 USD Amazon Voucher
3rd Prize: $150 USD Amazon Voucher
4th Prize: $100 USD Amazon Voucher
5th Prize: $50 USD Amazon Voucher
*As the plant database is open to everyone, all Folians are welcome to participate in this contest, so if you need a hand getting started with things, the new HQ page should hopefully give you a good head start. If you have any specific questions about how to edit please join us in the official Wiki group and we will be very happy to give you a hand :)

I’ve been keeping an eye on the leaderboard over the last couple of weeks and there seems to be a little bit of friendly competition already going on already! :)
The top of the leaderboard currently stands at:
