    <body>Thanks for posting the link, TropicanaRoses! It looks like there is some good information there, especially pertaining to tuber &quot;eyes&quot;-- great photo illustration for a frequently-asked question. I usually find that I can spot the eyes before they sprout. As long as they've been cured in the ground for a week or two after heavy frost, the bumps are often already up or if not, there are dark spots or faint patterning visible around the eye.

Then again, I am nearsighted in such a way that I can read the tiny microprint on checks and security documents without a magnifying glass, so maybe I am not such a good example! :-D</body>
