<body>I have a few nominees for this category. I really like how &quot;Aughty&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/67518-cosmo-sonata and &quot;Gerbera&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/68083-rose-blooming take their photos and just bring out the simple beauty of the flower!!

I would also like to enter &quot;the last photo of a single flower face forward&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/67215-the-sunflowers-doing-their-thing which is mine. I think my sunflowers look the best of anything that I took, for flowers anyway. I had more, but this one was one of my favorites.</body>

<body>I nominate TolCath's Autumn Wood Daylilly:
http://myfolia.com/journals/64786-daylily-features

The shading and ruffles in the flower are amazing, and the way TolCath writes about her daylillies makes them more interesting to me -- I would never have noticed the ridges in that flower if she had not pointed it out.</body>

<body>I'm really a sucker for Daylilies, and there are some beauties being grown by Folians. But I think the favorite I've seen was this &quot;'Fires of Fuji'&quot;:http://myfolia.com/plantings/37785-daylily-fires-of-fuji-hemerocallis belonging to urbansdoggarden - it is stunning! I just have to nominate this one.</body>

<body>@ xan- I love the white. Somebody will probably kill me, but I don't much care for the purple, since that is what you mostly see with Iris. I like the reds, yellows, and now, white ones. I don't think I have ever seen a white one before. :)</body>

<body>There is no way to do the flowers on Folia justice, there are just too many to recall. So, limiting myself to one local entrant.
Tonya has some impressive photos. &quot;Crocuses&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/68236-crocuses-flowering , seemingly insignificant plants but impressive colours and &quot;Tulips&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/69105-tulips-flowering which are a great set of well composed photos.

<body>I'd like to nominate my Cereus plant. It has been &quot;blooming like crazy since&quot;:http://myfolia.com/journals/70016-serious-cereus-blooms the first of October this year... the blooms are truly beautiful even if the photography is not so special. I think the white flowers are a bit washed out in the photo of the plant with multiple blooms. Here is a more &quot;detailed view of one bloom&quot;:http://www.flickr.com/photos/31045896@N02/3145058781 that shows the beauty of the flower much better, although the plant just covered in blooms is very impressive to me. </body>

The large velvety dark red flowers are absolutely beautiful, and I love the form of the foliage as well.

<body>@ Emily- I tried the link and it didn't work. Try it again!! Sometimes I find that if you try it again it works. :)

The rules for the nomination require that you provide a link from your planting here @ folia, so all you have to do is go to the planting here, copy the URL, and post it. I just visited your garden and noticed that it is there. It's very pretty!!</body>
