Stash Question

When I enter an item in to my stash, I do not see the two drop down menus namely, ‘Category’ and ‘Lifecycle Type’. I only see these menus if/when I go back to edit the entry.
And I’m curious if I do go back and edit an item and choose that it is an ‘herb’ in the Category menu…..where does that bit of information appear on the items stash page?
