<body>Picasa is probably looking for an image file - jpg, png, tif, bmp etc. Unless excel can save it as an image file you'll need to manually convert it.
One way to convert it is to take a screen grab by opening the document and then pressing the print screen (PrtScn) key on the keyboard (usually up near scroll lock and pause). When that's done open an image processing application such as photoshop, gimp, or paint (which comes with MSwindows still?) and create a *new* file then right click and select *paste*. This should copy the image of your desktop (and excel doc), produced by the print screen key action, into the application where you can then crop and edit it.
I believe that will still work, it's been a while since I've used MS windows. Assuming that's what you're using?</body>

<body>Thanks graibeard. I will see what I can do. I really would like to share my early garden plans for next year. I think it is exciting to do that. Maybe someone would even have a suggestion about something which I have not yet thought of. :)</body>

<body>How to create a picture from cells, a chart, or an object in Excel:
Clear cell gridlines if you do not want them displayed in your picture.
How?
Click Options on the Tools menu, click the View tab, and then clear the Gridlines check box.

On the worksheet or chart sheet, select the cells or click the chart or object you want to copy as a picture.
Hold down SHIFT and click Copy Picture on the Edit menu.
For the best picture quality, make sure As shown on screen and Picture are selected, and then click OK.
Note To preserve picture quality, an item copied using the As shown on screen and Picture options is pasted at 100% of its original size. For example, if you scale a worksheet at 75%, an item copied from it may appear larger when pasted because it is pasted at actual size. The display of some items in charts &#8212; such as vertical as opposed to angled axis text &#8212; may also be affected.

Click the worksheet or other document where you want to paste the picture..
Click Paste .
You can use the Picture toolbar to change the image.
Paste into a picture viewer like Corel Photo or even Paint, somewhere you can save it to file as a .jpg or even .bmp, save it as .jpg if possible. .bmp makes them too big.
