<body>:) This is all gibberish to me. I don't mean to sound unlearned, but what is an RSS link, and for what purpose is it used? I don't think I have seen the myfolia.com/questions.rss before.</body>

<body>Hello nic, thanks for checking into it. Out of curiosity, is there a way to rss a specific subset of journals? I'd love to be able to scout around for what people are doing in my area, but really don't want to see the whole world's journals every time I check in. :)

Hi, TropicanaRoses! 'RSS' is an acronym for 'Really Simple Syndication' - basically, it is a program (called an *rss reader*) you can use over the internet that compiles new posts from blogs/journals/news media. I can set my rss reader to get new posts or messages from any site that offers rss. It puts all your desired reading in one place, so you don't have to check on the main site for each blog or news site just to see if there's a new post. I use Google Reader, but there are many others. (FWIW, the icon used for rss is the little orange square with the curved white lines in it, next to the 'Journals' pulldown menu at the top of Folia's main page)</body>

<body>Interesting. I am not sure that I would use it, as I enjoy commenting on other journals, but thanks for the education. I did check it out. I don't know how to set it, but I probably won't use it anyway. :) I think I'll mosey on over and see what all you are growing. :)</body>
