Normally not a problem, as if it makes any difference with the high density of the snail population in my garden, but this year the very wet weather seems to have encouraged all kinds of slugs. I, too, try to plant flowers they don't go for. Carrie and I have been using the salt on them. We've stopped using pellets as we've seen hedgehogs in the garden this year. The slugs seem to love dahlias and they've been decimated, everything else has just been munched. Been busy keeping the winter flowering plants ready for the end of the year in the greenhouse and have moved them into the cold frame.
