Wow! What a month so far!

I apologize for taking this long to get the thread up, but most will agree that this has been a wacky month, weather-wise, so far.

My peas are pretty much done. I didn’t get as many as I’d hoped, so I’ll try again for a fall crop.

My tomatoes, peppers, and about half of my herbs aren’t growing for some reason. They are still healthy plants, but they are just not getting any bigger yet. I’m not the only one with this problem, either. General consensus is that the weather needs to be more consistent for things to really take off.

My mulberry bush has rewarded me with fruit for the first year, and I am in love! My strawberries are also producing very well, but I’m not getting any runners yet. (I only planted one in each big pot, planning on the runners filling in the empty space.)

How about you? Are your plants taking off, yet? Do you need the rain as bad as we do here in Chicagoland?
