Zinnias – Sprinkled seeds randomly in mailbox corner. Covered with shallow soil. Grew like crazy. 3ft+ height. Did not thin at 3in high, as recommended. Bugs love eating the leaves.
Morning Gloring – Trellised. Started slow. Vines end up congrugating at top of trellis. Sun too hot for blue flowers, not many throughout summer, and died within day. More flowers came out mid-August and lived.
Nasturtium – Didn’t grow.
Curry Leaf trees – Small and large ones. Both hit by late frost, didn’t think would make it. Came back and filled out with lots of leaves. Did not grow in height.
Scarlett Runner beans – Climbing vine bean. Grew ok (ones dog didn’t dig up), but didn’t produce any fruit.
Marigolds – Planted in corner. Some eventually made it up (too much rain coming off roof for others?) Bloomed late, almost August. Tall, heavy plants that fell over by weight, but kept growing flowers.
Used Black Kow manure.
Used Plant-Tone all purpose plant food.
Used organic pesticide on some plants – didn’t seem to work at all.

Welcome to folia!!! You have several nice gardens!! When the opportunity arises, I would love to see some pics of these plants!! :) Is the scarlet runner bean really red? I love the color of my one pinto bean plant, which my son planted amongst my squash plants! :)
I am originally from Florida. Around the Cocoa area. I had fun growing things there, because very few plants had to be replanted every year. Everything was pretty much there, and what I did grow from seed, I got to plant pretty early in the year!! :)
