It’s a bit of an overgrown mess at the moment – but I do have a few plants that continue to grow year after year despite neglect. Echium that self-seeds each year and gives me more plants to plant out/share and acanthus mollis that grows brilliantly and makes more babies each year. The herbs – lavender, rosemary, greek oregano, perennial basil, lemon verbena, lemongrass, marjoram; various geraniums, a few types of salvias – salvia leucanthus is one, alyssum always seems to self-seed and come up, and sweet peas and nasturtiums are forever coming up each year. I have young fig, mulberry and bitter orange trees that my husbands greek yaya gave us. I also have a grape vine, gooseberry bush, and a loganberry(?) vine that has taken over an area of my yard. An australian cumquat tree, and an elderberry tree. And a few hardy varieties of osteospermum / sunny ladies and a white pigsface that are just about everywhere and just thrive on nothing.
