cristina's 'With a view' vegetable garden

I have planted a vegetable garden in this slightly sloping west facing meadow for the second year (2009). I’ve sown in rows and rather late (at the beginning of June). I’m trying to grow tomatoes, onions, salads, chards, peas, French beans, beans, radishes, pumpkins, zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, parsley, dill and strawberries. Last year I sowed in a smaller patch. I haven’t yet understood if this is the right place for growing vegetables (maybe the spot is too sunny and rather windy), nor the proper amount of plants to sow. I’m observing what happens and I’m sure I will learn a lot from Folia! Anyway, I like to come here, in my kitchen garden, and water: I sit down and look at the panorama…
An outdoor organic garden located in Bedonia, Italy, cristina's 'With a view' vegetable garden currently contains 17 plants.
This is a Vegetable garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 7. It has mainly Clay soil and receives Partial Sun light.Photos

Si tratta di una bella vista. I lived a year in Milano back in the early 70’s, & absolutely love Northern Italy. My Italian is really lacking. In italiano ho capito niente. Si potrebbe anche parlare di un muro.

Nice to meet you! I know Milano very well (I’m from Monza). Italian isn’t an easy language, but … ti esprimi bene. I read your journal and your interesting comments, congrats on your “hi tech” gardening.
