Khamsin's Black garden

Garden Type: Flower | Sun: Full Sun | Soil: Don't Know I'm Organic!

I’ll admit it- pink hair, piercings and tattoos. I’m an old-school goth girl. So the idea of a garden with black flowers and other plants with black foliage just appeals strongly to me. While they are hard to find, I’m trying. No stone shall remain unturned, no gardener’s specialty website shall remain unsearched. Sadly, the only ones doing well in it are the dark burgundy gladiolas and the black hollyhocks.

Have you tried black pansies… they are easy to get over here in Australia but I’m not sure about the States. My Husband also loves black flowers. He grows Queen of the Night tulips and nearly black daylilies as well. There are also black iris out there. Keep us posted on how you do.
