epiphany's Nature Strip garden

The Council planted a Eucalyptus smack in the middle of our lake view from the house. It snapped in a high wind one day. There was much rejoicing.

The Council came back & planted another Eucalyptus. There was much despair & gnashing of teeth.

Upon enquiry, we discovered there is some sort of cursory planting plan involving natives or some such (basically, if it goes with the reserve planting over the road, then it’s fine). Despite there being exotic trees further down the road.

A plan was hatched with the neighbours involving 4WDs & inadvertant felling of Euccalyptus trees. Just as soon as I buy some plants for the nature strip.
