Katxena's African Violet garden

I had an idea to start an African violet plant from a leaf cutting, which I posted about in the seed swapping group here on Folia. Later that night, I posted a request on my local Freecycle group asking for leaf cuttings, and a very nice lady responded and gave me her collection of African violets — 5 plants that she was unable to care for. They were very badly overgrown, with woody stems 2-3 inches long, potted in those 2-part African violet pots. I trimmed them all down, cleaned them up, dusted them off, washed and sterilized the pots, and repotted them.

I also got a leaf cutting from SneIrish, who very generously mailed it to me. I can’t wait to see how it does!!
