Five 4×4 raised beds in the sunny strip of yard between us and the neighbor. Our first attempt at front-yard gardening… we plant to be more brave this coming season! Concern has been that it’s rental property… weren’t sure we could populate the front yard with vegetables the way we would if we owned the place! Landlord has been real supportive so far, so we’re going to push our luck and plant in the actual front yard next.

My garden is on rental property too. I look at it like this: I am actually improving the yard for the landlord by adding neat planting beds full of quality growing soil. I know if we were looking for a rental and found one with a backyard like mine, we would snap it up in a heartbeat.
