This is the area that most closely resembles a ‘real’ garden – I’m sure it was tilled at some point in the past, before it became so filled with perennials that that was no longer an option without mass plant-slaughter. I squeeze in a couple veggies each year, but it is mainly cut flowers. Bluebells insist on invading and are consequently pulled up each year.
