janietta's behind the house garden

Garden Type: Foundation | Sun: Full Sun | Soil: Combination I'm Organic!

There was nothing here but damaged siding from the lawnmowers and edgers the service the previous owners used. Putting in foundation gardens is supposed to be a great way to help your siding and basements out, plus, an excuse to plant a garden!

This was actually the first garden we put in, because we put some transplants from our previous house there until their more permanent homes were ready.

This is a completely south facing, no shade ever garden, except for one little bumpout that gets late afternoon shade, because it faces east.
