This is where I sow, sprout & pot up my winter sown plants.
I usually start sowing seeds in containers in February. Those containers are then ventilated, sealed and placed outdoors. Yes. Mid winter. Snow & all.
As spring approaches and the temperatures rise the seeds begin to sprout when all suits their fancy.
When they are well established I remove them from their containers & separate them into their own individual pots. From their they are grown on until they are strong enough to be planted into beds.
I use this method for perennials of all sorts. It has proven a very successful method of germination.
