Time passes so quickly... Cucumber Harvesting and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
The cucumbers are coming in with a vengeance. I cannot keep up! I guess that’s a great problem to have. Some are yellowing due to lots of rain and my lack of attention, lately. We will probably be making some freezer pickles soon. I have to find something to do with them. They are overtakin...

Squash freezing Yellow Squash Harvesting and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
Well, I’ve frozen a couple of batches of squash in the last two weeks. We can only eat so much. We’ve also given a ton away. I’m glad that’s the case instead of the other way around. The only think I’m concerned about is one of the plants seems to have some rot and/o...

First fruitings. Yay! Yellow Squash Harvesting and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
We were able to harvest a few squash from the plants this weekend. They are doing great with no problems and the fruitings look great. I can’t wait to cook them this week.

Reaching for the sky! Soybeans and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
The soybeans are getting bigger and I cannot wait until I can have some edamame pods for lunch. They seem to be doing great and I have a feeling we will be freezing some pods for winter.

Trellised Pole Beans and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
I built a small trellis for the pole beans the other day. I used some old limbs from a plant Tripp trimmed in early spring. The beans are finally having a growth spurt and they are beginning to find the trellis. It’s strange how they reach and latch on.
