My daughter asked for a section of my garden to plant her own veggies in. I thought it was cool that she asked, and I gave her a 10 × 10 section to plant in. She toiled over it all by herself, loosening all the dirt, making rows, etc
Since my daughter asked we have moved. I pondered archiving the garden, and decided not to. I just changed one letter in the name of the garden to incorporate the other kids into it, as it will still be several small gardens within my veggie garden. There will be 5 plots, approx. 8×8 each. (this I forgot to tell Mike, lol)

That’s so cool! When I was five years old, I loved our garden so much that I named our new adopted kittens “Zucchini” and “Tomato.” How old is your daughter? How did her garden do?

She is 15. She didn’t really get into it too much. She weeded, watered, planted for a while, but about mid summer she gave up. The cherry tomatoes did their thing and started falling off of the plants from being over ripe. So I had to go out and get them myself. She is interested in “watching” basically. Not in the doing. The other kids desperately want their own spot this year, and that is our plan at this point. I plan to put up a stake with each of their names on it this year for their own spot in the garden.
