cmagnus's ..Walkabout.. garden

Garden Type: Footpath | Sun: Partial Sun | Soil: Combination I'm Organic!

Path through the reclaimed part of the garden. Our first raised bed we surrounded with small pavers, but that got expensive. Also, we didn’t want to pave over the entire area. So we went with a stepping stone path set in clover and creeping thyme. This garden includes the mint bed, for lack of a better place to put it.

That is an amazing use of space. Way to go! My daughter has just started her first garden and is using the concrete blocks to create raised beds, too. She needs to see this site to see how far it really can take you.
I have a 15 yr old Cornus florida in my yard and it is one of my favorite trees of all time. In the fall it looks like little Japanese paper lanterns are suspended from it and in the spring it is covered with those fabulous pink blooms that look like a fairy tale tree, especially when the sun filters through the overhead canopy. That is a nice addition to your yard.
