This raised bed is 4′ × 12′, full sun, no wind protection from a large farm field unless there’s corn growing for the year. The soil that we got to fill it with the first year was supposed to have a mushroom composte, but the items planted that year did horribly! The next year we heavily amended with peat and cow manure besides the planting mix that inevitably gets mixed in from transplants and now it is considerably better! Still a bit lumpy, but I’m working on it.
