The market town of Newton Abbot nestles between Dartmoor and the south west coast and I consider myself quite lucky to live in such a beatiful part of the world. I am five miles from the coast with its red cliffs and two miles away from the wild and rugged Dartmoor with its ponies, sheep and cattle.
In between there are country parks and huge cultivated gardens with magnificent shrubs and views that are open to the public. I often take a walk and then go in search of a shrub that I have seen that I may be able to fit into my own garden. The town itself has a cattle market and a farmers market. The clock tower in my last picture is the remains of a the church of St Leonard demolished in 1836 and built in 1350.
